This iconic Brisbane hotel was given an extensive renovation to the existing Deery’s Restaurant and a new bar, the Main Street Bar, was built as an extension. During the construction process, some stunning timber roof trusses were uncovered. Plans were changed to make the most of the trusses and they were then replicated in the new bar in Gary Garu timber, creating a statement architectural element. Clarke Constructions was also able to value add to the project by replicating some beautiful steel-framed windows and screenings in the new bar that the owner had seen in Melbourne. The new-look restaurant and bar provide a great vibe for this ever popular and successful hotel. Clarke Constructions is very proud to have completed this incredible project.
