Our Director, Bruce Clarke manages highly skilled foreman, permanent tradespeople, sub-contractors and administrative staff who together form a dynamic and capable team.
OUR APPROACH
Clarke Constructions welcomes the opportunity to service a variety of arrangements to suit your particular project; including tendering, lump-sum, cost-plus and negotiated budgets. In addition we aim to be involved in the early stage of projects during the design and documentation period to provide building advice services. It is our belief that quality begins with a good briefing and that clear communication is paramount in order to comprehend client needs.
COORDINATION OF PROJECTS
Well managed project coordination is of paramount importance to produce efficient build processes and ensure smooth transition from construction to handover. Each Clarke project is provided with accurate construction program systems, onsite coordination and client involvement to ensure this objective is achieved. We encourage client involvement during the building process to create a dynamic construction system which can be adjusted as required during the project to meet all necessary requirements.
CONTRACT MANAGEMENT
Each project is unique and responds the Client’s expectations and needs. Our contract management philosophy is simple – the client comes first. That is why each Client has a single point of contact without our company that they can rely on to interpret their requirements and ensure first class results.

OUR STORY
1983
The Clarke Constructions story began in 1983, when Bruce Clarke, the managing director began his apprenticeship with Jon Stephens.
1989
After completing his apprenticeship and doing the mandatory backpacking year in Europe, Bruce arrived back in Brisbane to set up a building company. During his apprenticeship, Bruce had developed a love for old Queensland homes and soon became skilled at bringing them back to their original glory, under the banner, “Bruce Clarke Restorations”. This was a time in Brisbane when real estate, particularly in the city fringe areas, was booming. Old Queenslanders and colonials were being bought and renovated in growing numbers in suburbs like Paddington, New Farm, Rosalie, Bardon, Spring Hill.
1990
Bruce soon became a sought-after renovator and put on more staff to keep up with the demand. By the late 90’s, the team were broadening their skills base and branching out into other areas of construction including commercial, hospitality and high-end architectural residences.
2000
In the Year 2000 the company was re-branded as “Clarke Constructions” and with an enviable team of sub-contractors and full time staff, it was well established as one of Queensland’s most reputable and skilled constructions companies.
2000 - 2020
The last 20 years or so has seen the company take on and complete a portfolio of work which includes pubs, warehouses, even a Buddhist temple.
Clarke Constructions is enormously proud of its 30 year track-record. We are still excited by the process of building. We believe we have the best team of people working for us and are looking forward to getting into all that 2020 and beyond has to offer.

The Bowen Hills HQ is the epicentre of Clarke Constructions project management. The building provides a functional workspace for our managing director, project manager and office administrator to ensure that all projects are managed and produced in-time and on budget. It also has a functional workspace in the back for in-house production and equipment storage.

Clarke Constructions is proud to announce that as a result of our increasing structural steel, joinery and carpentry fabrication works, we have expanded our production facilities and leased a building at Eagle Farm. The expansion of our in-house production arm means even more cost savings for clients. And most importantly, it means we know that the quality will always be spot-on.
