JAMES ST EXTERIOR

LOCATION: New Farm

ARCHITECTS: David Liddy

CLIENT: Lido Corp

The existing heritage listed shop was in very poor condition and had suffered from years of neglect and even an fire. The structure needed to be brought back to life and made safe while complying with the heritage requirements. The structure was propped up and made safe while the new structural steel and concrete were completed inside. The interior was completed with a new set of hardwood stairs and the existing VJ linings were repaired and repainted. The external cladding has been completely repaired and repainted similarly with the timber windows and doors. The landscaping has been completed with a new exposed driveway and all of the infrastructure such as gas, electrical and data has been completed. The project had its challenges due to the busy public pathway and road to the front however the team worked in record time getting all scaffolding up and down within the month.
